FMP Research.

these are a selection of current cigarette brands and there logos, while trying to create my own logo i will look at the existing ones and make a questionnaire to find out which ones people like the best and which ones they think i should try to include in my final logo.

FMP Proposal.

for my final major project (fmp) i am going to produce my own brand of cigarettes, complete with packaging, advertisements such as leaflets etc. I decided to do this because its a chance for me to show  my creative side and it also gives me free reign to do and create whatever i want from scratch. My brand will be called 'goodfellas' the reason i have chosen this name is because it doesnt define the product it just makes a statement about it and i liked that so i decided to have it as my brand name. The logo i am going to design i want to be completely original, new colours nothing like any other around at this moment in time, i also want my packaging to be new and different they're are already slide packs that come out of the side and the top put i want mine to be like the rolling machines where the cigarette pops out but my cigarettes will be ready rolled.

i am going to create mock-ups of my ideas so i can demonstrate my ideas and actually give people who look at my ideas a visual reference. I think this will help me improve on my ideas and it is also a better way of promoting my product, and i am also going to create a questionnaire to find out why people smoke certain fags, how much they pay and what they would want from a new brand, I will then looks at the answers from my questionnaire and try to base my product around what the consumers want.

the recent videos i've posted are the videos i collected from youtube on kinect typography, we were told to gather videos and screen shots of typography that we liked and thought we wanted to base or work around. So i browsed youtube and gathered a collection of screen shots from various videos in which i liked the font, the arrangement of the letters and the little symbols put in to represent words and noises in the video. I then went threw my research and decided to change some of it so i had a wider range to base my final project. i decided to do my final video on a bad boys 2 scene because i felt i could produce a very clever, funny typography video from it.

the reason i have chosen to include this typography video in my research is because i like the way the words interlock and stack up next to each other.
